To celebrate the historic occasion of Ireland’s first space mission, the EIRSAT-1 satellite, UCD commissioned me and award winning illustrator Alan Dunne to create a three-minute film.
‘All ways home’ brings to life a poem written and voiced by 12 secondary school students from around the country. This inspiring project married the creative arts and engineering mastery, which culminated in a truly momentous occasion for Ireland.
On 1 December 2023, EIRSAT-1 launched on a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. Upon reaching orbit, it became Ireland's first satellite.
